“Celebrating over 125 years of Prayer, Service, and Evangelism"
Organization begins at the local chapter level in a Diocese in a local church with at least three women who are communicants of the church. After completing twelve weeks of study and discernment, women who decide to become members of the Order, take life time vows to follow our Rule of Life - daily prayer, service and evangelism. Also, each member agrees to wear the Cross of the Order which is of the Greek fleury design inscribed with the Latin words "Magnanimeter Crucem Sustine" which reminds us that "with heart, mind, and spirit we uphold and bear the cross." We wear this cross just as a member of some religious orders wear a "habit". Chapters elect officers, President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer and write their own Constitution and Bylaws making sure they do not conflict with the national Bylaws.
After three local chapters have been formed in the same Diocese, an Assembly may be formed. The Assembly elects officers, President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. These officers are responsible for writing and monitoring the Assembly's Constitution and Bylaws, organizing meetings and maintaining communication with the Diocesan Bishop or Clergy in charge.
Once a Province has three Diocesan Assemblies, a Provincial Assembly may be formed with Officers, President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, and other officers as needed. They also have a constitution and Bylaws. Daughters in the eight Provinces in the United States are assembled, and the President of each Provincial Assembly serves on the National Council. Most provinces hold an annual Assembly. The ninth Province consists of countries overseas, including Columbia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Honduras, and Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. In addition, several other countries are connected to Province II administratively. These include the American Convocation of Europe, Haiti, and the Virgin Islands. The Order has chapters in several of these locations, and heretofore has classified them as international chapters.
